Valley Finishes 4th in SoCalsNovember 20, 2013Los Angeles Valley College, one of three teams representing the Western State Conference at this past weekend’s CCCAA Southern California Regionals, finished in fourth place. It was the highest finish by a WSC team this year.

Valley Sweeps Post-Season AwardsNovember 20, 2013Los Angeles Valley College swept the top two post-season awards for women’s water polo in the Western State Conference. Head Coach Pete Loporchio was named the Coach of the Year and sophomore Sabrina Hatzer was named the Player of the Year.

Three Teams Set for CCCAA Post-SeasonNovember 20, 2013Three Western State Conference women’s water polo programs will be representing the WSC in the upcoming Southern California Regionals. Los Angeles Valley College, Los Angeles Pierce College, and Ventura College all earned berths.

LA Valley Wins WSC ChampionshipsNovember 20, 2013The Los Angeles Valley College Women’s Water Polo team avenged an earlier loss in the year to Los Angeles Pierce College in Western State Conference play, with a win over the Brahmas this past weekend in the Championship Game of the 2013 Western State Conference Championships. It’s the first WSC Tournament title for the Monarchs since 2003.

Santa Barbara Wins Women’s Water Polo Title in First Year; Advances to SoCalsNovember 11, 2014Glendora, CA -- The Santa Barbara City College Women’s Water Polo team kicked off their program in style in 2014. After finishing in second place during the regular season, the Vaqueros turned around and won the Western State Conference Championship Tournament this past weekend at Citrus College to claim the 2014 title in just its first year of existence.

Santa Barbara Sweep Women’s Water Polo Top HonorsNovember 21, 2014In just its first year of existence as a program, the Santa Barbara City College Women’s Water Polo team wrapped up a fantastic inaugural campaign by sweeping the top honors in the Western State Conference. Freshman Rocio Fesembeck was named the WSC Most Valuable Player, while Head Coach Brian “Chuckie” Roth was named the Coach of the Year.

Santa Barbara Now Two for Two In WSC Women’s Water Polo ChampionshipsNovember 24, 2015In just it’s second year of existence the Santa Barbara City College Women’s Water Polo program has set itself on a meteoric path. After winning the 2014 WSC Women’s Water Polo title in it’s inaugural campaign last season, the Vaqueros repeated this season, avenging an earlier regular season loss to LA Valley College with a 10-8 win over the Monarchs in the championship game of the 2015 WSC Championships.

Richards and Roth Bring Home Top Honors for SBCCFebruary 02, 2016After claiming it's second straight WSC Championship in just it's second season of competition, the Santa Barbara City College Women's Water Polo team brought home the top honors in the conference. Freshman Mackenzie Richards was named the Player of the Year while Head Coach Chuckie Roth was named the Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Santa Barbara Claims Third Straight WSC TitleNovember 05, 2016The Santa Barbara City College Women’s Water Polo program wrapped up its third straight Western State Conference Women’s Water Polo Championship in just its third year of existence. The Vaqueros wrapped up a perfect conference campaign with a 15-8 win over second place Ventura College in the Championship Game of the 2016 WSC Championship Water Polo Tournament.

Santa Barbara City College is State Runner-UpNovember 18, 2016Livermore, CA - In just its third year as a program, the Santa Barbara City College Women’s Water Polo program won its first ever Southern California Championship, and went on to finish as the State Runner-Up in the 2016 California Community College Athletic Association State Championships. It was a remarkable run for the Vaqueros, who fell in the State Championship contest to Riverside City College in overtime 9-8.

Hancock’s Miller Named Coach of the Year; SBCC’s Seale Claims Player of the Year HonorsNovember 29, 2016First year Allan Hancock College Head Coach Dominique Miller was named the Western State Conference Women’s Water Polo Coach of the Year. Santa Barbara City College sophomore Addison Seale meanwhile was named the conference’s Player of the Year.

Vaqueros Remain Perfect With Fourth Conference TitleNovember 04, 2017Glendora, CA - The Santa Barbara City College Women’s Water Polo program remained perfect this past weekend with their fourth straight Western State Conference title. It’s the fourth straight title in four years of existence for the program, who has yet to finish lower than 1st place in the final WSC standings.
